MAHONE BAY MUSEUM RESPONDS TO WILDFIRES IN NS:

We are thankful for all that we share here in Nova Scotia and have an opportunity through the Home & Garden Tour to help the individuals and families impacted by the recent wildfires.

Containers to collect donations will be placed at our registration desks and in each home on the tour, five containers in all. Funds collected will be donated to the Nova Scotia & Atlantic Canada Fires Appeal, which has so far raised $1.7 million. The tour guide map given to each participant will include information about the donation containers. Tour promotion also includes our local fire department brunch fundraiser this Sunday as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

Planning for the Home & Garden Tour started early in the year. As a non-profit charity, the Mahone Bay Museum annual tour of homes and gardens is a major fundraiser to help us provide free programs and kids activities.
