Donations and Annual Membership fees (individual membership: $15 per year, business membership: $25 per year, and family membership: $25 per year) are welcome by:

Our parent organization, the Mahone Bay Founders Society, welcomes members through annual individual membership ($15 per year), business membership ($25 per year), and family membership ($25 per year). An annual membership provides you with the opportunity to vote at our Annual General Meeting, the ability to join our Board of Directors, early access to event RSVPs and tickets, invitations to Members only events, access to our research room books, files, and computers, and first dibs on purchasing tickets to public events.

Interested in making a monetary donation? Through our parent organization, The Mahone Bay Founders Society, we will issue charitable tax receipts for all donations over $20 by request. There are multiple ways to donate!
We prefer that you consider using PayPal Giving Fund with Paypal account or a credit card here where we receive 100% of the funds and you receive a tax receipt automatically from Paypal: https://www.paypal.com/ca/fundraiser/charity/3476650
The next best option is an E-transfer from your online banking to firstname.lastname@example.org with “donation” in the message and no password should be required. We receive 100% of the funds but we will need to pay to have a tax receipt prepared for you for donations over $20.
A cheque by mail to the Mahone Bay Founders Society at PO Box 583, Mahone Bay, NS B0J 2E0 is also acceptable and we received 100% of the funds but this method requires more administration time and for us to pay to have a tax receipt prepared for you for donations over $20.
Want your donation to go towards one of our specific projects rather than make a general donation? Click our “Gift Shop” tab (or visit https://mahonebaymuseum.com/support-us/shop/) where you can select a project to donate towards and use Paypal or a credit card. We lose a small percent of the donation (2.2% to Paypal fees) and will have to pay to have your tax receipt prepared for donations over $20.
The Mahone Bay Museum is always looking for more volunteers!
We have volunteers near and far who help with events, exhibits, research, the collection, greeting visitors, and more! We’ll discuss your interests and needs to find a suitable volunteer position for you.
Volunteering hours vary and are flexible around your schedule!
Volunteering is great experience for young people and looks wonderful on your resume!
Volunteers of all ages are welcome!

Donations In-Kind for services are also welcome! Additionally, businesses can also donate an item for our annual Silent Auction that occurs in April every year.
